The house

The number on the dock.

The street is the client. The coat is the proof.

A long black coat walking a quiet stone street at blue hour.

Origin

Six. Five. Four.

654 is not a year and not a price. It is the last three digits painted on a freight dock the founders passed every night, leaving someone else’s factory with their own patterns under an arm.

They kept the number and stopped shipping other people’s clothes. The house cuts street garments the way an atelier cuts a coat: heavy cloth, few seams, hardware meant to be touched. Nothing is printed. The mark is the cut.

Drop 01 is called Night Code. Fourteen pieces. Wool, cotton, leather, steel. Each one made in a run of 654 — then the block is retired.

6

Weight

Nothing thin where it meets the body. Six ounces is the floor. If the cloth cannot hold a shape, it does not ship.

5

Fittings

Five passes on the block before a pattern is kept. The ease is large. The shoulder is exact.

4

Materials

This season, four things only: wool, cotton, leather, steel. The edit is the luxury.

Cutting table with bolts of charcoal wool and bone cotton.

The room

Cut where the cloth is.

Patterns stay in the atelier. The only thing that leaves with a number is the garment, and the number is always the same.
